Our refund and cancellation policies vary based on the service you’ve purchased. This is because each service type involves different resources, timelines, and commitments:

2. Bespoke Services (Clothing & Embroidery)
Bespoke services involve custom work tailored specifically to your requirements. Refund eligibility depends on the stage of work completion:
2.1 Refund Timeline for Bespoke Services
Before Work Begins
Refund: 100% of payment minus ₹1,000 consultation fee
Timeline: Must cancel at least 48 hours before scheduled start date
Reason: Consultation time has been invested, but no materials or labor
After Fabric Cut / Materials Purchased
Refund: No refund available
Reason: Materials have been specifically purchased and cut for your project
Alternative: Project can be completed and you retain the finished product
During Construction (Work in Progress)
Refund: Refund of balance payment minus value of completed work
Assessment: We’ll evaluate work completed and calculate fair refund
Timeline: Must request within 24 hours of notification
After Completion
Refund: No refund unless quality issue (see Section 8)
Reason: Service has been fully delivered as per agreed specifications
Option: Minor adjustments included; major alterations may incur charges
2.2 Express Services (24-Hour Turnaround)
- Cancellation Window: Must cancel within 2 hours of placing order
- Refund if Cancelled: Full refund minus ₹500 processing fee
- After Work Begins: No refund due to priority scheduling
- Quality Issues: Full refund or remake at no charge
2.3 Bridal & Wedding Packages
- Initial Consultation: Non-refundable ₹2,000 fee
- Before Fabric Selection: Refund minus consultation fee
- After Fabric Purchase: No refund; packages can be modified
- Timeline Changes: No charge if 30+ days before event
- Rush Charges: Non-refundable once work prioritized

Important Notes for Bespoke Services
- Client-provided fabrics are non-refundable if work has begun
- Measurement errors on client’s part do not qualify for refund
- Natural fabric variations (especially in silk/handloom) are not defects
- Fitting adjustments are included; remakes due to client preference are charged
- Final approval signature indicates acceptance of the work
3. Fashion School Courses
Course refunds are structured to balance student flexibility with our resource planning:

3.2 Online vs. In-Person Courses
Online/Recorded Courses:
- Refund available if less than 25% of content accessed
- Full refund if technical issues prevent access (our fault)
- No refund once certificate of completion issued
- Course access revoked upon refund
In-Person Courses:
- Refund based on classes attended vs. total classes
- Must return any distributed materials in unused condition
- Studio access terminated upon cancellation
- Cannot cancel during final 2 weeks of course
Hybrid Courses:
- Refund calculated separately for online and in-person components
- Must complete in-person sessions to receive online materials
- Partial completion may qualify for partial credit
3.3 Payment Plans & Refunds
If enrolled on a payment plan:
- Refund applies only to unpaid installments
- Paid installments follow standard refund policy
- Remaining balance must be settled before refund processed
- Course access suspended until matter resolved
3.4 Course Cancellation by D&D
If We Cancel
If Dreams & Designs cancels a course:
- 100% Full Refund – No deductions or fees
- Priority Enrollment – First choice in next available batch
- 10% Discount – On your next course enrollment
- Immediate Processing – Refund within 5 business days
3.5 Student Material Kits
- Unopened Kits: Full refund if course cancelled before start
- Opened Kits: Non-refundable; kit is yours to keep
- Partial Kits: Refund only for unused sealed components
- Special Order Items: Non-refundable once ordered for you
3.6 Special Workshops & Webinars
- Cancellation: 48 hours before event for 100% refund
- 24-48 Hours: 50% refund (materials already prepared)
- Less than 24 Hours: No refund; recording access provided
- No-Show: No refund; recording access may be available
4. Supplies Store
Our supplies store operates with standard retail return policies, with some category-specific conditions:

Items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging

4.3 Defective or Damaged Items
Defect Policy
Extended Window: 30 days from purchase
- Full refund or exchange for defective items
- We’ll cover return shipping for our error
- Photo evidence may be requested
- Manufacturing defects vs. damage must be assessed
Report immediately upon discovery for fastest resolution.
4.4 Online Order Returns
- Same Process: Same policy as in-store purchases
- Return Shipping: Customer pays unless item defective/wrong
- Return Address: Provided upon request approval
- Inspection: Item inspected upon receipt before refund
- Original Shipping: Non-refundable (except our error)
4.5 Bulk Orders
- Special Terms: Bulk orders may have custom return terms
- Partial Returns: May be accepted on case-by-case basis
- Restocking Fee: 15% restocking fee may apply to bulk returns
- Advance Notice: Contact us before returning bulk orders
4.6 Student Discount Purchases
- Same return policy applies
- Refund will be discounted amount paid
- Student ID verified for returns over ₹5,000
- Discount abuse may result in privilege loss

- Refund Initiation: 2-3 business days after approval
- Bank Processing: 5-7 business days
- Total Time: 7-10 business days from approval

Note About Processing Times
While we initiate refunds quickly, actual credit to your account depends on your bank’s processing time. Weekends, holidays, and banking hours may affect the final credit date. International cards may take 10-14 business days.
7. Non-Refundable Items & Services
The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:
7.1 Bespoke Services
- Completed custom garments (unless quality issue)
- Client-provided fabrics after cutting
- Fabric purchased specifically for your project
- Rush/express service fees once work prioritized
- Final fitting approval after signature
7.2 Fashion School
- Courses after first week of classes
- Opened student material kits
- Downloaded digital course materials
- Completed courses with certificates issued
- No-show for workshops/webinars
7.3 Supplies Store
- Custom-cut fabrics
- Opened threads, needles, or consumables
- Custom or special orders
- Sale, clearance, or discounted final-sale items
- Items damaged by customer use
- Items without original packaging/tags
- Opened DIY kits (except defective items)
7.4 General Non-Refundables
- Consultation fees (already rendered service)
- Shipping and handling charges
- Processing fees on partial refunds
- Digital products after download
- Services rendered as agreed
8. Quality Guarantee

8.1 What Qualifies as a Quality Issue
- Workmanship Defects: Poor stitching, uneven seams, finishing issues
- Material Defects: Fabric tears, thread breaks, embellishment failures (not due to wear)
- Specification Errors: Garment doesn’t match agreed design (our error)
- Measurement Errors: Fit issues due to our measurement mistakes
- Color Mismatch: Significant deviation from agreed color (fabric dye lot issues)
8.2 What Doesn’t Qualify
- Change in personal preference after approval
- Fit issues from client-provided measurements
- Natural fabric variations (grain, texture, slight color differences)
- Wear and tear from use
- Damage from improper care
- Changes in body measurements after final fitting
8.3 Quality Issue Resolution
Report within 7 days of receiving item/service for:
- Assessment: We’ll examine the issue (photos may be requested)
- Options Offered:
- Repair: Fix the issue at no charge (most common)
- Remake: Create replacement if repair not feasible
- Refund: Full refund if we cannot resolve satisfactorily
- Timeline: Resolution within 5-7 business days
- No Cost: No charges for genuine quality issues

- Design Changes: Free before fabric cutting
- Timeline Extensions: Usually accommodated at no charge
- Fabric Upgrades: Price difference applies
- Scope Additions: Additional charges quoted
- Measurement Updates: Free before cutting
9.2 Course Modifications
- Batch Changes: Transfer to different schedule (₹1,000 fee)
- Course Upgrades: Pay price difference
- Mode Changes: Switch between online/in-person (subject to availability)
- Add-ons: Additional modules or materials can be added
9.3 Supplies Order Changes
- Before Shipping: Full modification possible
- Quantity Changes: Adjust up or down before processing
- Color/Item Swaps: Free if order not yet packed
- Address Changes: Update before dispatch
